Former Miss Indian World joins tribally owned technology company

Kansas Begaye has joined the Cayuse Native Solutions team as the Director of Business Development and Sales.

Kansas is a proud member of the Diné Nation (Navajo) and is a dedicated advocate for Native American communities, blending cultural preservation, philanthropy, and organizational leadership. She holds a B.A. in Native American Studies from the University of New Mexico and has over a decade of experience in nonprofit work, business development, and tribal relations.


Her expertise in Native youth advocacy, cultural training, and community-building has made her a trusted leader in fostering meaningful partnerships with Tribal Nations, nonprofit organizations, and government entities.

 

A former Miss Indian World (2013-2014) and Native American Music Award winner, Kansas uses her platform as an award-winning recording artist and inspirational speaker to educate, empower, and preserve Indigenous traditions.

She has been a specialist in Native American cultural awareness training for over 15 years, developing outreach programs that address social justice, health equity, and Native American philanthropy.


Through her work, she has influenced legislative efforts for equal healthcare access, strengthened early childhood initiatives in Tribal communities, and connected Indigenous organizations with critical funding resources.

With a strong background in nonprofit leadership, strategic partnerships, and program management, Kansas continues to foster meaningful connections and initiatives that support Native traditions and sustainable growth. Residing in New Mexico, she remains committed to uplifting Indigenous voices and ensuring that Native communities have the resources, recognition, and respect they deserve.


Kansas will collaborate closely with representatives from Native Nations, tribal entities, Native-owned businesses, and other organizations serving Indigenous communities. She will inform them about Cayuse's primarily technology-focused services, such as digital marketing, graphic design, IT support, IT equipment sourcing, drone services, and custom programming of web portals and mobile apps. She will also build relationships to understand how these services can support their projects.
